A shape shifting light that provides a soft ambient glow. urchin has an irresistibly unique character that invites playful interaction. Its elastic movement and shifting form are akin to a sea creature, making the piece move as if alive. Made from the same translucent white textile material as urchin softlight and textile softwall + softblock, these pieces complement each other to create fluid, sculptural environments.
The urchin softlight is for indoor / dry use only.
urchin is available in “daylight white” or “warm white”. The “daylight white” is a very neutral white, not too blue as some “daylight white” lights can be. The “warm white” has a subtle golden warmth to the shade of white. (daylight white: 4800 K, warm white: 3300 K colour temperature)
The textile material has a "class A" flame spread in North America. Documentation is available on request.
